1. The service

CareerScan is an AI-powered job matching service for the Singapore job market. It aggregates listings from public job portals and APIs, scores them against your profile, and surfaces the best matches. It is not a recruiter or employment agency.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent free plan limits is prohibited.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service at scale.
  • Upload malicious files, scripts, or content.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • The Free plan is free forever with the stated limits.
  • The Pro plan is billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are shown in SGD inclusive of any applicable taxes.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. AI-generated content

Cover notes, resume suggestions, and interview questions are generated by AI and may not be accurate or appropriate for every situation. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it. CareerScan makes no guarantees about the quality or outcome of applications made using our tools.

6. Job listings

CareerScan aggregates listings from third-party sources (MyCareersFuture, Adzuna, RemoteOK). We do not verify the accuracy, legitimacy, or availability of individual listings. Always verify a role directly on the employer's website before applying.

7. Intellectual property

The CareerScan platform, scoring model, and UI are owned by CareerScan. You retain ownership of your resume and profile data. You grant CareerScan a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the service.

8. Limitation of liability

CareerScan is provided "as is." We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, missed job opportunities, or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you in any month is capped at the amount you paid us in that month.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
